Dear Parent/Guardian:

The law requires that schools notify parents when a teacher who has not met the state certified requirements has taught their child for four or more consecutive weeks.  The requirements help us ensure that students receive the best education possible.  Teachers of core academic subjects must:

• Have at least a bachelor’s degree;
• Hold a state certification in the subject taught;
• Demonstrate competency for the subject matter and grade level(s) taught.

We are notifying you that the following teachers have not met one or more of  the following state certification requirements: 

We are working with these teachers to ensure that the necessary steps are taken in order to meet these requirements.

La ley requiere que las escuelas notifiquen a los padres cuando un maestro que no ha cumplido con los requisitos certificados por el estado y  ha enseñado a su hijo durante cuatro o más semanas consecutivas. Los requisitos nos ayudan a garantizar que los estudiantes reciban la mejor educación posible. El maestro de materias académicas básicas debe:

• Tener al menos una licenciatura;
• Tener una certificación estatal en la materia en la que enseña;
• Demostrar competencia para la materia y el (los) nivel(es) de grado enseñado.

Le notificamos que la maestra de su hijo/a, no cumplen con los requisitos de certificación estatal:
